CANADIAN YOUTH FOR DEMOCRACY IN UKRAINE
Students of Jean Vanier Junior High School in Sherwood Park are hosting a fundraising "Wake-A-Thon" (staying in a tent overnight in the gymnasium) as an act of solidarity with thousands of people camping out at the Independence Square in Kyiv, Ukraine. About 50 Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian students are hoping to raise $1000 for Victor Yushchenko's protesters and to raise awareness
for democracy in Ukraine.
When: 9:30 pm Thur. Nov. 25, 2004 -- 8:30 am, Fri., Nov. 26, 2004
Where: Jean Vanier Catholic School, 109 Georgian Way, Sherwood Park, Alberta
What: Fundraising "Wake-A-Thon" for Democracy in Ukraine
We are inviting other Junior High and High Schools in Canada and USA to join us and organize a similar fundraising event at their school.
