President Yushchenko's Comments in Auschwitz

President Viktor Yushchenko was present at the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. He also has a personal connection to this concentration camp because his father, Andriy, was incarcerated here and survived.

"I will say that this is a special pain, a pain that heals. I wish that I could share it with my countrymen and women, and all honest people in the world. Only pain and memory can give us the strength and wisdom to forever seal the doors behind which is the road to hell," stated the president.
