New Postage Stamp Commemorates Orange Revolution

“Stamp of Ukraine” publishing house has issued a new stamp commemorating the events on Maidan (Independence Square in Kyiv) and Viktor Yushchenko’s inauguration. On January 23, the special cancellation of this stamp (which reads “The victory of democracy… the first day”) took place in the main operational hall of the Central Post Office. The text on the coupon reads: “The inauguration of the President of Ukraine. January 2005.” A bar code is also printed along the margins of the sheet.
