Monday September 9 seminar " Post-Kuchma Ukraine " starts working.
National state organisation "Advanced Social Transformations
Institute" , the Center for Political and Economical Forecasts arrange
the event.

The Palriamentary deputy Levko Lukyaneneko , Grygory Omelchenko,
Mykhaylo Pavlovsky, Oleksandr Moroz have been invited to the seminar,
Korrespondent reports.

Meantime, 10 thousand people took part in an opposition meeting on the
central square of Cherkassy in front of the building of the Cherkassy
Region State Administration and the City's Executive Committee,
Ukrainian News informs.

The participants of the meeting held red and blue-and-yellow flags, as
well as the slogans 'Stand up Ukraine!', 'Our cause is just, victory
will be with us!' and 'Kuchma Away!'

The participants of the meeting voted for an appeal to the deputies of
the Ukrainian Parliament from the people of Cherkassy calling for
Kuchma's resignation. Police and local authorities did not thwart the
demonstration.

Friday the Mayor of Cherkassy Anatoliy Voloshin refused to provide
facilities for a press conference planned by Moroz, Simonenko and
Timoshenko, claiming he was afraid of arising the wrath of the
authorities.

Moroz, Simonenko and Timoshenko left for the regions and have already
held meetings in Chenigov, Zhitomir, Rivne, Ivano-Frankovsk, Lvov and
Belaya Tserkov as part of the 'Stand Up Ukraine!' series of protests.
