A breakfast meeting with Olexander Moroz, Leader of the Socialist Party of Ukraine and its faction in Verhovna Rada, on "The Political Situation in Ukraine and Possible Developments" will take place on Tuesday, November 12.

"Ukraine is in political turmoil in the wake of the large demonstration on September 16 on the second anniversary of the disappearance of the journalist Grigory Gongadze and accusations that President Kuchma approved the illegal exports of radar to Iraq. Olexander Moroz, who is the long-time leader of the Socialist Party of Ukraine and former speaker of the Supreme Rada, will discuss the implications for Ukrainian politics today and in the future. Mr. Moroz will speak in Ukrainian with interpretation into English.
