Beheaded tells the story of why the journalist Georgi Gongadze was kidnapped. It examines the evidence that the President of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma, was responsible for his death.
The author JV Koshiw spent eight months in Ukraine investigating the Gongadze incident, starting from the first month of his disappearance in September 2000.
In the last decade, the author has worked as a journalist specializing on Ukraine. As deputy editor of Kyiv Post, an English newspaper in Ukraine, he wrote more than seventy articles on politics. He took part in the making of two TV documentaries on Chornobyl for HTV-Wales.
This is the author’s third book. Beheaded contains 288 pages and includes 44 photographs and illustrations.
