  In Kirovograd area, the local authorities invented another obstacle for observer and journalists: they draw a line, prohibited to cross
  
  they clame, such a line is not prohibited by the law on Elections of President of Ukraine. An international observer received this information at one of the polling stations. The punishment for crossing the line is not known.

  In improper language, they threaten a young girl with punishment to all her family.
  They keep calling employees of Yuschenko headquarters and threaten them. Today they openly threaten with physical punishment
  
  Today, an unknown people called home of one of the employees. The callers were very pushy. A 17 years daughter picked up the phone – nobody else was home. The calling man was rude: “If your Mum right today does not stop to agitate for Yuschenko – all of you will be “fucked up!” (This is the best way of translation I can think of – A rude way to pass a message that someone will be in the best case beaten badly, in the worst - killed)
  
  Another woman got a call to her cell phone yesterday around 21.00. An unknown man was persuading her not to work for Yuschenko and to vote for “their” candidate. Today, there was another call at 19.00 and a rude mane said to the women: “If you don’t stop doing that shit, we will turn the legs to you and to your family”. Both calls originated from the same number 8-050-275-37-05

  A newspaper with interview of O.Moroz was destroyed

  In the city of Severodonetsk the whole circulation of the local newspaper with interview of O.Moroz was destroyed.
  
  The editor of the Severodonetsk newspaper “Lubimy Gorod” reported to the Lugansk regional headquarters of O.Moroz that the whole circulation of the newspaper was destroyed at the publishing house. Before that the Severodonetsk Sity Publishing Corp, whose stock by 80% belongs to the City Council, did not print in time 10,000 copies of the paper, explaining it by “the absence of a letter”. Editor agreed to print the next day 5,000 copies. However, the next morning the manager of the publishing company has got a phone call from Kyiv. The caller threatened to fire him and demanded to destroy the circulation.
  The reason for this demand was an interview with the presidency candidate Oleksandr Moroz.
  
  Maidan comment: These stupid acts of authorities assure us that healthy and democratic forces will win!

  Young criminals have beaten a female employed at Lugansk regional headquarter of V. Yuschenko.
  
  Criminals launched a real hunting for headquarter employees. After phone calls, gangsters started to act. To perform the action they use underage criminals.
  
  Today around 8 p.m., two unknown males attacked a lady working at Yushenko headquarters on her way home. It seems, they were following her and took the same bus with her. Upon leaving the bus, the young men followed her to the dark alley. They insulted her with abusive language, and beaten her.
  
  Now, the lady is in state of shock. According to her, the approximate age of offenders was 16-17 years

  Alchevsk. When the day is over, the cars of Yuschenko supporters are being attacked by street bandits.
  Today, approximately 7.15 pm in the city of Alchevsk, street hooligans attacked a car ZAZ Slavuta 1960AB with stickers “Yes! Yuschenko”. Driver – Oleg Kostovarov

  Public radio “Gromadske Radio” is announcing its plans on information support for regional broadcasters who are planning to give coverage for elections day and elections night.
  
  Gromadske Radio journalists will be in the most important places (Central Elections Committee, Candidate Headquarters, independent press-center). There are ready for phone connections for regional broadcasters.
  
  The GR news line will be giving coverage in the real time regime.

  TV-radio ERA may be disconnected from the air
  
  The appearance of a secret letter from the head of the National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting B.Kholod to the minister of Transport and Communications G.Kyrpa with request to stop broadcasting of ERA on the elections night reveals political censorship, which is a subject for criminal prosecution.
  
  This statement was made by a member of Council V.Shevchenko. He emphasized that the question of changing the ERA broadcasting network during the elections by the requests of the Central Election Committee has not been considered on the Council.
  
  B.Kholod motivates his strange and unlawful request by the need of “full coverage of elections process”. According to Shevchenko, this is exactly what ERA is planning to use the time for, which secretly from public is attempted to question by bureaucracy. Therefore, says Shevchenko, these is an attempt to shut down the radio transmitters that neglects constitutional rights for freedom of speech and equality of working conditions for different companies.

  Kyiv city state administration predicts problems with electricity supplies at the elections day (October 31), and the night after that. The deputy chair of Kyiv city state administration V.Ilgov passed this information to the Ukrainski Novyny press agency.
  
  The main issue is the possible overload, Ilgov said.
  Operational headquarters for city services will react on possible interrupts, he said.
  The main task is to ensure that everything is working properly, Ilgov said
  
  Translator comment: sounds like a total bullshit, for many years city of Kyiv did not have major electricity problems; however, deeper in province anything might happen, and resistance should be ready for it.   The "main square elections"

  Today’s informational-educational action “Presidential elections on the main square” performed by organization “Youth – is Ukrainian Hope” showed a very interesting result
  
  500 people, who happened to be on Khreshatyk today, were offered to do what there are planning to do the day after tomorrow – to fill in and to drop into the box bulletins with names of Presidential candidates.
  
  The result of such an improvised voting was amazing. The main street of Kyiv in a big majority voted for Yuschenko. He has got 73.8% of votes. Note, that sampling of 500 people can be sufficient for any serious research

  On October 28 night, a special train “Lugansk-Yaremcha” departed from Lugansk railroad terminal. According to the information of Yushenko headquarters in Lugansk region, the 10 cars of the train are occupied by coal miners from Lugansk neighborhood.
  All of them have an “unfasten paper” and present this trip as a business mission
  This tour was initiated by the local community and trade union organizations. It is possible, that miners will participate in the unlawful actions that are planned to influence the elections campaign.

  Yuschenko supporters are not coming to the Central Elections Committee on the elections night
  
  A Yushenko representative, the Head of Verkhovna Rada Committee M.Tomenko:
  
  It is probably good, that authorities decided to assemble criminals at the Central Elections Committee (CEC) on night of October 31. It will allow other citizens to have a quiet voting at their polling stations.
  
  That is why we are asking all Yuschenko supporters not to go on the elections night to CEC, but to vote at their polling stations and not to allow falsifications. We are asking all Ukrainian citizens to watch carefully the elections process and the voting place. The games with “unfasten papers”, so-called “carousels” and other attempts of falsification voting results – is the biggest danger, prepared by authorities.
  
  We are asking all Yushenko supporters on October 31 to be present near their polling stations and ensure that the reports on elections results are properly signed, sealed and passed to CEC, and also to wait for the announcement of the “parallel counting” results.
  
  Note, that our supporters will be present on each polling station throughout the country, that is more then 30,000 committees.
