New NETWATCH Platform

03/12/2010 | Shooter
The NETWATCH Platform (http://www.ec.europa.eu/netwatch) was launched on 1st February 2010.

NETWATCH is a European Commission information platform on transnational R&D programme collaboration which supports transnational R&D programme collaboration in Europe, most notably on the ERA-NET scheme. It provides information about ERA-NETs to research policy makers and R&D programme managers in Member States and the Commission services. It includes descriptions and contact details for all existing ERA-NETs and summary information on topics such as strategic objectives, research fields covered, the countries and organisations involved and target groups. It also caters for the needs of both planners and the research community by providing descriptions and information about the scheduling of all joint calls. In future, the aim is to expand the mutual learning role of the platform by hosting other material such as manuals and guidelines for the creation and implementation of transnational activities. Analysis of the data collected on ERA-NETs should also be of use in the overall assessments of progress towards the ERA.
