Задача Майдану – це донесення правдивих новин до світової громадськості про події в Україні. Зараз всі світові агенства переповнені новинами з України, тому нашим козирем маю стати саме „гарячі” новини. Тому уклінне прохання:
<b>Безумовний приорітет для перекладу мають найсвіжіші новини з України.</b>
Ще раз - новини мають бути <b> з України</b> та вони мають бути <b>свіжими.</b> Новини з-за кордону мають нижчий приорітет і перекладаються лише у випадку надзвичайної важливості.
<i>Як правильно координуватись з іншими перекладачами.</i>
Для того, щоб уникнути дублювань і спростити роботу новинарям, які й без того перевантажені, ще одне уклінне прохання дотримуватись такого порядку:

Відбувся Надзвичайний всеукраїнський з’їзд міських, селищних і сільських голів, депутатів місцевих рад усіх рівнів
25 листопада в Києві, в Українському Домі відбувся Надзвичайний всеукраїнський з’їзд міських, селищних і сільських голів, депутатів місцевих рад усіх рівнів. У його роботі взяв участь 691 посланець органів місцевого самоврядування усіх без винятку регіонів України. В президії з’їзду сиділи не лише мери Івано-Франківська й Тернополя, але й депутати місцевих рад Харкова й Бердянська, Сумщини й Одещини.
Відкриваючи на доручення Комітету національного порятунку З’їзд, голова Комітету Верховної Ради України з питань державного будівництва й місцевого самоврядування Анатолій Матвієнко відзначив: після спроби державного перевороту, здійсненого командою Кучми-Януковича, в держави фактично зникла легітимна вища державна виконавча влада. За цих складних суспільних умов саме на легітимних органах місцевого самоврядування лежить обов’язок не лише захистити конституційні права й безпеку громадян, але й забезпечити нормальне життя сіл, селищ, міст, районів та областей.
Учасники з’їзду утворили Всеукраїнський центральний виконавчий комітет місцевих рад, який організаційно координуватиме роботу місцевих рад у перехідний період, до інавгурації легітимно обраного Президента України Віктора Ющенка та формування нового складу Уряду України. Всеукраїнський центральний виконавчий комітет місцевих рад діятиме в тісній співпраці з Комітетом національного порятунку. Головою ВУЦВК обрано Анатолія Матвієнка. До складу ВУЦВК ввійшли народні депутати України, мери декількох великих міст, представники Асоціації міст України та громад та Асоціації селищ і сіл України, посланці депутатського корпусу місцевих рад усіх рівнів.
Окрім політичної резолюції, з’їзд ухвалив звернення до народу України, до народних депутатів України, до працівників міліції, прокуратури, служби безпеки та військовослужбовців. Лейтмотив цих звернень: у нинішню складну хвилину всі чесні люди повинні бути разом зі своїм народом.

In the presidium were not only mayors of Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil but also the deputies of local administration of Kharkiv and Berdyansk, Sumy and Odessa regions. Opening the Congress on behalf of the Committee of National Safety the chief of the Parliamant Committee chargeable for state building and local administration Anatoliy Matviyenko stated: after the attempt of coup d’etat made by the team of Kuchma-Yanukovych the state actually does not have legal supreme executive power. During these difficult social conditions the only legitimate bodies of local administration are responsible for not only protecting the constitution rights and safety of the citizens but also providing normal life conditions in villages, towns, cities, departments and regions.
The members of the Congress formed the All-Ukrainian central executive committee of local councils which will coordinate the work of local councils in the transition period until the inauguration the legally elected President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko and form the new Government of Ukraine. The All-Ukrainian central executive committee of local councils will cooperate with the Committee of National Safety. Anatoliy Matviyenko is elected chief of the AUCEC. Members of the AUCEC are the people’s deputies of Ukraine, mayors of several big cities, representatives of he Association of Ukrainian cities and communities, delegates of local councils of all levels.
In addition to political resolution the Congress approved appeal to Ukrainian nation, people’s deputies of Ukraine, policemen, the staff of the Public Prosecution Department, Security Service and military. The keynote of these appeals is: at this difficult moment all honest people must be with their nation.

Kherson State Pedagogical University: during the first two classes the students of the several departments were on strike in front of the main building of the school. After the second class an announcement came that the students are allowed to miss classes. The announcement was signed by the Dean of the school, one of the people trusted by Yanukovych. Everyone went to the central square to join the protest to support Yuschenko. Now people are not going home. To the contrary, more people are coming!

Yesterday there was a strike to support Victor Yuschenko in Obukhiv town, Kyiv region. People made the Head of the Town Counsel to tie an orange ribbon round his arm. He agreed to recognize Yuschenko as the President of Ukraine. The head of Obukhiv Regional Administration, Mr Yanmivsky, did not agree to recognize the People’s President, however. He said that the Town Counsel decision is enough. “Shame on him!” Obukhiv dwellers said.

Unique Rally in Simferopol to Support Both CandidatesSeveral hours ago a rally to support both candidates ended in Simferopol. The entire central square was covered with the Yanukowych posters, but Yuschenko people were standing in a small corner near the theater.
However, it is very surprising: despite the fact that the majority in Crimea voted for Yanukowych, they started to be afraid of us as future authority. All the Yuschenko people were smiling , we were confident in tomorrow, when People’s President Victor Yuschenko will become the true president of Ukraine. Very seldom Yanukowych people approached us aggressively, trying to change our mind. We were called crazy, damned nationalists, American slaves… We heard a lot of good things about ourselves. However, Yanukowich people heard in reply: “No need to be aggressive! You made your choice and we made hours and now we only want our choice to be recognized!“ People in Simferopol are not afraid to walk around with orange symbols. Rare cars with orange ribbons are met with approval shouts and applause. People are coming form Sevastopol, Yevpatoriya and are getting orange flags, ribbons, bandanas to take home. Today an idea came to start a tent camp to support Yuschenko. Unfortunately, this idea was not realized because Yuschenko representatives in Crimes called us NOT TO DO IT because of threats from our opponents. What kind of democracy is it? We are either silent, or talk about what people will do in respond to us!!! Yes, we are in minority in Crimea, but with every passing day our number is increasing because our smiles and peaceful attitude towards our opponents make a lot of people change their blue ribbons to orange ribbons.
Kiev!!! We are with you!!!! Do not paint Crimea blue on the map of Ukraine!!! Because more and more orange spots appear here!

За непідтвердженими даними (анонімний телефонний звінок посадовця з одного з міністерств)сьогодні банда Янукович-Кучма-Медведчук можуть оголосити надзвичайний стан.
Підставою до такого висновку є те, що сьогодні спеціальним розпорядженням працівникам категорично заборонили залишати робоче місце після закінчення регламентованого робочого часу.

Хоча і пізно, і не дуже надовго (години півтори). Потім повернуся глибокої ночі.Для "розгону" перекладу анонс про мітинг у Мюнхені: отримав низку листів від іноземців з різних країн, які в себе вдома намагаються взнати, де і коли акції українців. Та і в тексті (в статтях: Pass It Along), який повісив, є пропозиція іноземцям приєднуватися.
Тому згоден: новини з-за кордону - лише як важливі. Але анонси акцій - дуже бажано.
Шкода, що на питання про графіки мітингів так і не відгукнулися... хоча - коли? і хто?

ADDRESS TO THE NTVCU MANAGEMENT
We, reporters, directors, cameramen, employees of the First National TV-cannel, protest against the total twisting of information, one-sided reporting of the news, hiding important information from the people of Ukraine on socially important events. We demand:
-Live broadcast of the Independence Square rally. We think it is there where the history of our country is being made.
-Reporting objective news prepared the group of the independent reporters, editors and anchors.
-Renewal of the public discussion of the editor policy. We also demand from NTVCU to provide time to broadcast the independent production of “We are free” company, which will unveil the mechanisms of pressure on reporters.
-Official and decisive actions from the management and staff of NTVCU to protect oppositional channels “5th Channel” and “Era” that are threatened to get closed.
-Joint development and signing of the work agreement between the staff and the management of the NTVCU.
The NTVCU employees are willing to wait for the official reaction from the management till 7pm, November 25. After that, if our demands are not met we will declare the strike and turn to EBU with the request to protect our legal rights and to reconsider NTVCU membership in the system of all-European Vision.

Today in Brussels in front of the Council of Ministers of European Union and European Commission a mass meeting took place in support of Viktor Yuschenko. Almost seven hundred people took part in manifestation. Apart from Ukrainians Polish took part in it and even some representatives of European Parliament. Our correspondent Slavko Volynsky witnessed this event.
To support Viktor Yuschenko Ukrainians from Munich, Berlin, Stuttgart, Paris, Strasbourg and Ukrainians living in Belgium came to Brussels. Among the participants of the manifestation there were more than 10 Ukrainian priests of different confessions. The demonstration started with Lord’s Prayer, and than all the people sang a famous Ukrainian prayer “God great and whole, save Ukraine for us…”, then the demonstrators called out “Glory to Ukraine!”, “Yuschenko is our President” and many other slogans on Yuschenko’s support. In English the demonstrators called: “Russian arms back to Russia…”
Then Ukrainian patriotic songs were sang. The songs, orange colors of the flags and participants’ clothes, hundreds of yellow and blue flags attracted attention not only of dozens of television and radio reporters and journalists but of regular people living in Brussels, who also joined the manifestation. Here the representatives from Poland cried out “Glory to free Ukraine!”
One of the organizers of the meeting Andriy Dovganyuk read the declaration to the European Union asking to help Ukraine not only with diplomatic appeals but with application of sanctions against people of Kuchma and Yunukovych. After this in front of the microphone spoke a member of European Parliament Drazhyna Stanishevska. She began her speech with the slogan: “Glory to Ukraine!” She said that she witnessed falsifications during elections in Ukraine. And she informed that the next week European Parliament will conduct an extraordinary session, which will be dedicated to the question of Ukrainian elections. And added that even today the majority of the Parliament members are ready to claim that the elections in Ukraine were not legitimate.

To people at Independence Square it does not really make any difference, since we are not the TV viewers:), but from the point of view of the freedom of speech it is a breakthrough.

Part of the people stay at Maidan (Independence Square), part went to the buildings of the Cabinet of Ministers, Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) and President’s Administration. Some of them following Lutsenko’s appeal went to the “supporters of Yanukovych” – to feed them, give them Yuschenko’s declaration for the Donetsk citizens and to talk about life in general.“Maidan” asks all the organizers not to yield to the feeling of euphoria, be moderate consuming alcohol and not let provocations happen. Hunger strike at the Kirovograd’s Regional Election Committee.So far 3 people have gone on a hunger strike at the Kirovograd’s Regional Election Committee. A member of regional parliament, socialist M. Demchenko joined V. Hryshko and O. Kulish, members of Ukrainian Voters' Committee. All but two members of the Kirovograd’s Regional Election Committee are missing. They could not be located at work or home according to “Political Ukraine”.
These three men are protesting a routine falsification of the results of Ukrainian Presidential election. They are practically defending the bags with the real ballots. According to sources in the police and pro-Yanukovich gangs there is a danger of attack on the Regional Election Committee with the purpose of stealing the evidence of the government's falsifications.

Is inauguration of V. Yanukovych really planned for Friday?As was announced from the main office of V. Yanukovych, here the tomorrow’s inauguration of the authorities’ candidate is seriously viewed as possible. Aiming at making this procedure possible now, against the decision of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the issue of newspaper “Governmental Courier” with the decision of the Central Election Commission is being published. At the same time, the building of Verkhovna Rada is surrounded by guards of divisions of Special Forces. According to the plans of V. Yanukovych, if the speaker V. Lytvyn refuses to assemble the “gala session”, it will be done by the first vice-speaker Adam Martynyuk and herewith the first question in Rada’s schedule will be replacement of V. Lytvyn by S. Gavrysh that is to perform the inauguration procedure.

Supreme Court Judges Are Being ThreatenedToday a woman called to the live broadcast of “Radio-marathon of freedom” radio show on “Era-FM” station. She introduced herself as a wife of one of the Supreme Court judges. During the live broadcast she said that right now the Supreme Court judges are under colossal pressure. She also expressed concerns about her security, security of her family and husband. For the security reasons she did not give her name.
Today the Supreme Court prohibited the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) to officially declare the election results before the Supreme Court finishes looking into the complaints on the CEC announcement on November 24, where Victor Yanukovych was proclaimed President.

В Киеве появились российские «эвакуаторы» КучмыСпецназ «Витязь», охраняющий здание АП на Банковой, - не более чем прикрытие главной операции. Ее должны осуществить бойцы российского спецназа «Вымпел».
Как стало известно нашему изданию из достоверных и проверенных источников, вчера в аэропорт специального полка «Васильков» прибыло два борта, в каждом из которых – по 30 бойцов российского спецназа «Вымпел». Кроме этого, прибыла разовая дневная группа этого подразделения под шифром «Дробь».
Цель всей группы – эвакуация важнейшей информации и ее хранителей – в первую очередь Леонида Кучмы.
Руководит группой полковник (начальник главка ФСБ). Инструктируя группу, он предупредил, что пленение хотя бы одного бойца группы будет означать провал операции.
Документы планируется эвакуировать из многих мест, находящихся на территории Киева. Среди них - два здания на Борщаговке, замаскированные под склады, а также расположенное на Гоголевской улице (неподалеку от американского посольства, в сквере рядом со школой) здание без опознавательных знаков.
Кроме того, планируется вывоз ценной информации из здания Администрации президента через улицу Шелковичную (этот участок дороги на данный момент не блокирован оппозицией).
Как сообщил источник, подразделения российского спецназа «Витязь», о которых много говорится в последнее время, прибыли в Украину, как часть операции прикрытия главной задачи – эвакуации ценной информации и ее носителей группой «Вымпел».
Бойцы «Вымпела» ранее уже принимали участие в подобных операциях. Так, во время военных действий в Ираке несколько спецназовцев были задержаны американскими военными на пути в Сирию, из-за чего разразился скандал.

The ‘Government Courier’ will come out tomorrow without President-Yanukovich.According to ‘Glavred’s correspondent, the ‘Government Courier’ (‘Uryadovy Kur’yer’) paper’s printing has been halted. It’s been done only after interference by the MP’s from the ‘People’s power’ coalition.
The paper’s editor in chief has confirmed the previously released information that the publication of the election results, announced by the Central Election Committee, has been performed under the direct control of Deputy Prime Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk.

About 5000 people plan to block the exits of the Regional State Administration and the City Executive Committee all night long. There are about 100 people inside the Regional State Administration. According to a source from the blockaded building, among those remaining and unable to leave are the Regional State Administration Head’s Deputies – Volodymyr Rudenko (responsible for the interaction with the law enforcement; according to some sources – the head of Yanukovych’s shadow regional headquarters), Gennady Panok (internal policy) and Lyudmyla Latysheva (culture and sports). Regional State Administration Head Volodymyr Shcherban’ is absent.
Around 19 pm about 20 people have made an attempt to force entry into the Regional State Administration’s building through an employees’ exit. According to the information obtained by the Ukrainian People’s Party press service, this attempt has failed, and now there’s up to a thousand people guarding the exit.
A TV screen showing Channel 5 has been installed at the Independence Square. Fire’s been made in two barrels of firewood. Sumy residents remaining in the square plan to keep watch all night, so that the City Council members blockaded inside would fulfill the protesters’ demands: to pass a City Council’s decision about the recognition of VIKTOR YUSHCHENKO as the President of Ukraine.

Today, November 25th, about 300 people carrying orange signs and Ukrainian symbols have gathered at Stephansplatz. They were chanting “Yushchenko – our President!”, “Putin and Kuchma – shame on you!” People of other nationalities keep joining Austria’s Ukrainian community to attest to their solidarity with the majority of the Ukrainian people defending the principles of freedom and democracy in their country. Voluntary donations totaling almost 2500 Euro were collected during the rally to support the residents of the tent town in Kiev. Ministry of Education picketA protest rally has been held today in Kiev near the Ministry of Education. Students have formed columns by their colleges: Kiev-Mohyla Academy, Kiev Polytechnical Institute, Shevchenko National University, Aviation University, KNEU, Bogomolets University. More than ten thousand students have gathered by the Ministry building on Peremogy Ave. The youth started demanding to talk to the Minister Kremin’. However the Minister didn’t feel like coming out, so the activists had to force him to hold talks with the students. Half a hundred students managed to sneak past the guards, causing the ministry workers to ask the students ‘not to seize the ministry’. They promised Kremin’ in return.
Indeed, Kremin’ has appeared in a few minutes. He had to listen to the students chanting ‘Shame!’ (deservedly so). Then the students started demanding the Ministry to go on strike. However, Kremin’ countered that that wasn’t possible. He added that the Ministry however could announce a universal vacation in case more than two thirds of the higher educational institutions go on strike
Then the students began demanding guarantees that college boards won’t be penalized (for going on strike). Kremin’ has promised he’ll issue the respective decree. But the students, who know him all too well, demanded that he write the decree immediately, on the spot, in his own hand. He was given a placard to write on, a sheet of paper and a pen.
However the Minister refused to write and left - to reappear in 15 minutes with a printed resolution. However, he forgot to press his seal to it. Kremin’ was reminded about it, so that the resolution allowing every higher educational institution to make its own decision whether to go on vacation has been made valid. Afterwards the student column marched to the Dragomanov University, where the president still doesn’t dare to strike. Having spooked the president, the column made its way to Maidan (Independence Square), where the resolution has been announced from the tribune.

Volodymyr Boyko: Crook for President!While besieging the Presidents’ Administration in the column of other orange protesters, the author had to listen to an elderly lady from Zhytomyr region go on for hours about Viktor Andriyovych (Yushchenko) being our God-send. Without getting into an argument pertaining to God’s will, let me say that most importantly, Lord God has sent us Viktor Fedorovych (Yanukovych). For there can just be no better incentive for a nation’s unification and creation of a civil society, than a prospect of life under a President-delinquent.
One could spend loads of time trying to fathom the turn of events after the elections, had the authorities put forward a less conspicuous figure than the recidivist Yanukovych. At the very least, there’d be no hope that hundreds of thousands of people would flock to the Independence Square. On the other hand, to declare a person, corrupted even while serving their first sentence, a person who doesn’t care what to steal – whether it be hats or votes, – to declare such a person the President of a European country amounts to provoking a popular uprising. That’s why one can only be somewhat surprised at the actions of certain opposition MPs to prevent the crook’s inauguration. Once these MPs found out about the printing of an issue of the ‘Government Courier’ paper on November 25th, containing the official announcement that declared Yanukovych to be the presidential election winner, they rushed to stop the printing press. This shouldn’t have been done under any circumstances, especially not on November 25th – after the Supreme Court has prohibited declaring the delinquent to be President until after the consideration of a complaint lodged by Yushchenko’s aide against the Central Election Committee’s decision.
If Yanukovych were declared President against the Supreme Court’s decision, it wouldn’t have been legitimate, and thus would have only provided an absolutely undeniable proof that he should be prosecuted by law. It would have also immediately caused the army and the law enforcement, together with the armaments, to switch to Yushchenko’s side.
Kuchma, however good or bad, is the legitimate President and Chief Commander. That’s precisely why special forces units are now guarding the Presidential Administration – units that have overwhelmingly voted for Yushchenko. Had Yankovych’s clique declared the former leader of Donetsk thugs to be Head of State, Kuchma’s authority would have come to an end, and both the military and the police would have been automatically relieved of their duty to execute the usurper’s orders. Then the only thing left for Yanukovych to rely on would have been the support of his fans that have adorned the Donetsk Regional State Authority’s granite façade with an inscription reading “mob for Yanukovych”.
