On May 6, 2022, at 11 p.m., a Russian rocket hit the roof of the H.S. Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum, causing a fire. Only the philosopher’s statue survived in the building. The main exhibit survived because it was moved to a safe place when the war began.
