Russians killed 19 people in a Kharkiv dormitory

The Russian military is targeting residential buildings and hostels. Sometimes they hit them precisely at the moment when most residents have already returned home. On the evening of August 17, 2022, the Russians again shelled the Kharkiv city. With an Iskander rocket missile, they hit a hostel for people with hearing impairments on Ahiezeriv Street in Saltivsky District. The rocket targeted the buillding at 21:30. A rocket strike destroyed a three-story building. A fire broke out. Rescuers and medics arrived at the scene.

As a result of the attack, 19 people died. Another 22 residents were injured, including an 11-year-old child.

The next day, around 5 am, two rockets hit a four-story dormitory in the Slobidskiy district. A nearby repair shop was damaged. Both buildings were partially destroyed. As a result of the impact, six people died, including one child. 18 residents were injured. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the missile attack on Kharkiv. They said that “a high-precision ground-based weapon hit the temporary base of foreign mercenaries.”
