After the full-scale invasion, many schools in Kharkiv were severely damaged, or even completely destroyed. So, on July 10, 2022, at around 3:30 a.m., the occupiers fired rockets at the Slobidskiy and Osnovyanskiy districts of Kharkiv. One “arrival” took place on the territory of the Kharkiv Gymnasium No. 46 named after M.V. Lomonosov. The school suffered significant destruction, part of the building was completely destroyed – the upper floors were destroyed by a rocket. Ruined ceilings, assembly hall, classrooms.
Kharkiv School No. 46 was founded in 1937. It was awarded by renaming to Lomonosov School in 1957, “for high achievements in education”. In the 1970s, a cabinet system was introduced in the school for the first time in the region, and in 1989, a school for early development was opened. In 1992, the school officially received the status of a gymnasium.
