Kharkiv. Chronicles of the Attack on the City. Day 16 (11.03.2022)

By Serhiy Petrov

The day began with an air raid siren at 4:30 AM. In short, this is the favorite time of the Russian attacks – after waking up to begin pounding on the city. Actually they were keyed up this morning and into the evening. Traditionally, the most actively shelled were Northern Saltivka and the numbered micro districts of Saltivka, but today Derhachi and parts of Oleksiyivka and Pavlove Pole also experienced a lot of shelling. In Derhachi, the shells landed at the hospital and ambulance station, which damaged cars and punctured the wheels of ambulances.

The house of culture and private houses were damaged. There are dead and wounded. In particular, the former head of the Derhachi regional police department and the former vice-rector of the KhNUVD died. According to rumors, he was a diabolical Russian. Russian world bombs and shells kill indiscriminately. They also landed in other districts – Pyatihatki, Obriy (Horizon), Rohan, HTZ.

The complex of buildings of the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology was damaged by shell fragments. In particular, the building of the nuclear facility “Neutron Source”, which is a research facility, has 37 fuel rods. However, the reactor plant itself is now safe, undamaged and shut down. Muscovites are deliberately trying to create another nuclear catastrophe in Ukraine, as they did in 1986, because a “plan” necessarily had to be made.

After the electricity went down in Pyatihatki, where the Institute of Physics and Technology is located, electricity was restored there. But the heating plant and the heating network were critically damaged and can not be rebuilt until the end of the war. More neighborhood blocks without heat indefinitely…

I will note that now on social networks there is a general silence about the places of shelling, so as not to help the Muscovite troops and not to correct their aim. Therefore, it is necessary to collect information simply piece by piece, independently, and by listening.

In areas where there will be no heat for a long time, the city authorities are ready to provide accommodations to residents in schools that have not been destroyed by shelling and in the subway. But about 50 schools have already been damaged by shelling… Such disappointing statistics.

Today they fired on the settlement of Vysokyi, near Kharkiv – there is damage to houses and there are wounded. And near Chuhuiv a column of Russian vehicles was defeated while on its way to another assault on the outskirts of the city. More of all sorts of scrap metal!

However, the communities of Izyum and Balakliya were the hottest spots. Izyum has not surrendered to the occupier and today the fighting in the city resumed with renewed vigor and activity. Artillery also landed in the surrounding villages, 10 kilometers from the city. Yes, shells hit a Russian Orthodox church in the village of Kamyanka, Izium district, which caused some damage to the building. It is clear that the Russians did not allow for the evacuation of people or food to be brought into the city which had no electricity, heat, water, food or medicine. Moreover, a convoy of buses that was to evacuate the residents of Izyum barely escaped the shelling by the Muscovites.

Currently, Muscovite artillery and aircraft are methodically working in the villages of Milova, Petrivske and Husarivka of the Balakliya township. There is damage to houses, there are dead and wounded. Balakliya itself is surrounded and cannot help to send food and medicine to nearby villages.

Unfortunately, patriotic Ukrainians are beginning to disappear in the occupied territories – the FSB and Rosguard are trying to destroy the Resistance Movement, falsely assuming that the movement is a small group of “Nazis”. In Melitopol, the mayor disappeared after being abducted by Muscovites. Residents protested against this.

Despite the constant fighting and shelling, the general situation in the Kharkiv region shows signs of fracture: the Muscovite army is stuck everywhere in positional battles and has failed to advance. The bombing of cities, towns and villages in the region constitutes the invaders’ only “success”. In general, the mood in the city is combative […].

Well, today’s Darwin Award goes to the operators of an, apparently Muscovite, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which flew all the way to the Jarun neighborhood of Zagreb, the Croatian capital, instead of the Ukrainian village of Jarun’ in the Novograd-Volyn region. Such a drone’s destination coordinates are set by entering the name of the destination. And these literati simply confused the geographical names – one is Yarun’ (Ярунь) and the other is Yarun (Ярун) […]. But these operators must share the prize with the armed forces of Romania, Hungary and Croatia, who did not notice the UAV as the aircraft flew over these countries’ territories before it fell to the ground. It is still unknown where it was launched from. NATO protection? Yeah, shit!

We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the Territorial Defense. We support our military, volunteers, medics, rescuers and utilities. We believe in ourselves, support our relatives and friends, and bring the day of our victory over the Muscovites closer!!!
