It was a rainy day, and therefore muscovite shelling went down in overall intensity. Still, there were many strikes, with targets spread wide, both in the north and in the south of Kharkiv.
The shelling came in waves. There was morning activity, then a flareup in the afternoon, and quite intense shelling in the evening.
This flareup in a weird way coincided with the news of the arrest of mertvetchuk (translator’s note: this is a portmanteau of the Ukrainian word “dead” and the last name of Victor Medvedchuk) by the Security Service of Ukraine. Late evening has been restless, and it looks like this will be the case through the night.
Various districts of Saltivka, Pyatykhatky, Zhukovsky, Oleksiyivka, Pavlove Pole, Kholodna Hora, Obriy, the Kharkiv Tractor Plant neighborhood, Novi Budynky, and the southern outskirts of the city came under fire today. There have been a lot of russist jet artillery strikes.
Some houses were damaged and destroyed, some people were injured or killed. One child who was injured in the Saltivka shelling yesterday has died unfortunately. The boy was only two years old. Doctors could not save his life. Yesterday, Oleksandr Akimov, a judo coach who trained some world-class masters (with victories at European or world championships), died under shelling. He was delivering medicine on a bicycle as a volunteer.
The situation in the suburbs has not changed. Derhachi and other villages of the community were shelled. The muscovites even shelled the village of Babai, south of Kharkiv, where one person was killed and two others were injured. It was also not quiet in the Chuhuiv direction. In Pisochyn, those who violate the blackouts regime will have their power cut.
The city is living its life. A portion of the traffic lights on the main roads have been reactivated. Even some restaurants have opened. There are people who, even in such difficult conditions, are planting vegetables in their gardens in areas under fire. Very few things intimidate a Kharkiv resident.
Even the Barabashovo market, which came under muscovite shelling several times and is generally within the range of the occupiers’ artillery, has reopened in limited capacity. The market will sell clothing, household goods, and home-repair products.
Bears, cows, and deer were evacuated from Feldman Ecopark (the zoo) today. Meanwhile, some of the volunteers involved in the evacuation criticized (OIeksand) Feldman’s own inaction and even attempts to prevent the evacuation.
Some companies are moving manufacturing operations out of the city. The oligarch Rinat Akhmetov’s “Corum Group Svitlo Shakhtarya” (a machine building plant) has moved to Volyn, while the prosthetics institute has moved to Kropyvnytskyi.
There are rumors that our military on the outskirts of Kharkiv has had some success, burning another batch of the occupiers’ equipment. Burnt russist equipment is always a good thing.
There isn’t much news coming out of the broader region. Fighting continues in the Izyum area towards Slovyansk, as well as in the Barvinkove direction. Both battles remain unsuccessful for the muscovites. Meanwhile, the “glorious” 4th tank division Kantemyrivska got its ass kicked again in this operational zone, having lost its column of T-80 tanks, which were going to break through the Ukrainian defense. Two of these tanks were seized by the Ukrainian military.
There is a humanitarian catastrophe in Izyum. About 15,000 people remain in the city, but there are food problems, no electricity, water, or heat. People are still taken out of the city in small groups using back roads from time to time, but very rarely and the groups are very small, because the city is occupied and tightly controlled by the muscovites. In general, there is no communication on the occupied territories (Vovchansk, Velykyi Burluk, Shevchenkove, Kupyansk, Dvorychna) because it is being jammed by REB (radio electronic warfare) stations in order to prevent Ukrainian population transmitting information on the occupier column movement.
Muscovites are also shelling other cities in the region: again Barvinkove, where one person was killed and a girl was injured. The evacuation from Barvinkove and Lozova is underway.
Due to a thunderstorm and bad weather on Tuesday night, part of the settlements in Loziv and Pervomaisk city communities of Loziv district were without electricity. The storm frightened many people there.
There’s heavy fighting on the northern flank of the Joint Forces Operation zone, including Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, and Popasna. These cities, together with Lysychansk and Novodruzhesk, are being shelled by muscovites. There are dead and wounded. But the muscovites have made no progress. The situation is the same on the southern flank of the zone, in the area of Vuhledar and Velyka Novosilka.
In Mariupol, marines of the 36th Brigade joined forces with the Azov (Battalion). This is good, because it is better to fight together than in different parts of a surrounded city. Everyone is being cautious in their statements about the use of chemical weapons, and it should be well understood that the use of chemical weapons in Europe is perhaps more difficult than the use of nuclear weapons. Although, according to some doctors, the symptoms observed are similar to the reaction to sarin. According to rough estimates by the City Council, 20,000 to 22,000 people have died in Mariupol as a result of muscovite shelling and air raids on the city.
More than 400 bodies of those killed and tortured by russist troops during the occupation of Bucha have been found so far. More than 700 bodies have been found in the Kyiv region. More than 200 people are missing. The amount of crimes against humanity is huge. Even US President Biden described actions of the muscovites in Ukraine as a genocide, albeit indirectly (“will the dictator commit genocide”). This is important in a political sense, because it means Ukrainians will not have died in vain. The muscovite and belarusian political and military leadership will be charged and tried by this article, in which a conviction means life in prison.
The good news is that viktor mertvechuk, godfather of khlo’s daughter (translator’s note: “khlo” is a pejorative referring to Putin), one of the leaders of the collaborator movement in Ukraine and attorney of Vasyl Stus, has been arrested by the Security Service of Ukraine as he was trying to flee the country. Thanks to mertvechuk’s collaboration, Status went to prison in Perm, where he later died. When he was arrested, mertvechuk was wearing an old-style uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (circa 2015), pretending to be a “patriot” and “one of us.”
I wonder why not in a dress. Did his half-witted wife Oksana Marchenko take her wardrobe with her? Why not in a sailor outfit, which khlo loves so much, and which (Alexander) Kerensky was wearing when he was running away from Gatchina? Two photos of the detained mertvechuk generated a bunch of photo memes. What cannot be denied Ukrainians is their ability to laugh and make fun of everyone and everything, even during a full-scale war!
Some good news: according to one of the Polish military analysts, about 100 T-72M1R tanks (an upgraded version to the NATO standard with thermal sight) “disappeared” from the storage base in Lublin. Just some magic!
The EU has unanimously agreed on a decision to transfer weapons to Ukraine, weapons of different types and many of them. Hungary voted, too. Europe has officially started moving in the direction of a lend-lease.
Zelensky also denied German President Steinmeier a visit to Ukraine and particularly Bucha. In my opinion, before he can travel to Ukraine, Steinmeier must eat his plan for the capitulation of Ukraine (the “Steinmeier plan”) in front of a camera and repent before Ukrainians and the whole civilized world for pleasing russism and for Nord Stream-2. Then he can come. Otherwise, he can expect protests.
Chancellor Scholz is welcome to Ukraine, but Steinmeier is not. We have a very good memory. And we will not forget “Frau Ribbentrop” Merkel either.
The process of decolonization has begun in the Kharkiv region. The city authorities of Krasnohrad have launched the process of renaming moskovskaya Street in their city and are proposing several options for the new name: Volunteer Movement, Independence of Ukraine, Invincibility of Ukraine, and Patriots.
Things are tense in the Belhorod region of moscovia again. A “bang” was recorded there again and something started to smoke. Outside the town of Shebekino, tracks and the bridge across the Nezhegol River, on the 32nd kilometer of the Belhorod-Vovchansk-Kupyansk railway (near the border with Ukraine) were damaged. Locals say they heard a “bang” and that it banged hard.
Due to such a tense situation in the border area, local authorities in Belhorod appealed to residents to enroll in volunteer squads. Here, everything is simple:
- An attempt to recruit at least some male population into the army for the war with Ukraine
- Create something similar to the Ukrainian territorial defense, but everything will turn out in the worst traditions of the Soviet DND (Voluntary People’s Squad).
Checkpoints with red and russist flags have also appeared on the roads of the Belhorod region. Set up on both sides of the road, they look like a bar counter in some club.
I am worried about the neighboring Belhorod region, because half of it is ethnic Ukrainian lands, including Sloboda regiments. Shebekine is a Cossack, Ukrainian city. My grandmother, born Tkachenko, was from there
Special thanks from the Armed Forces to muscovite propagandist Alexander Kots, who leaked the geographical location of the T-80 tanks of the Kantemirovska Division, which were later hit by our military in the Izyum combat area. Thank you for your assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
Today’s Darwin Award goes to a muscovite who could not pronounce the word “palyanytsya” and said that it was a beam construction. (Translator’s note: Ukrainians joke that the inability to pronounce the word “palyanytsya,” a type of Ukrainian bread, immediately reveals that the person is Russian.) He was detained in Rivne with a package of an unknown substance resembling an explosive. The most epic thing is that he also had an administrative report drawn up against him by the FSB. Hence, language is important, and it can save.
Thank you for another day to our defenders from the Armed Forces, the National Guard and Territorial Defense. Let us help volunteers, doctors, rescuers, and public utility workers. Let us support each other psychologically. Together we are strong, and together we will win!
