Fourth year of Social Intermediaries School was dedicated to conflicts between the groups of citizens and the authorities. Traditional training modules were complemented by the new ones, created as a result of cooperation with Kurve Wustrow – our partner organization from Germany.
There have been suggestions from several persons (including myself) that studying history of Yugoslav Wars could be beneficial for understanding the things and decision making in Ukraine. These conflicts are arguably the most similar historical events and both similarities and differences could help to provide better understanding and better prediction of the developments in the territories of the former Soviet Union.
The mission of Maidan Monitoring Information Center had been working in Crimean Peninsula since March 14 to March 23 evaluating the state of observance of constitutional rights guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine. The mission included 12 monitors. They visited all cities and towns and some villages of Crimea.
